REVIEW THE FOLLOWING DISTRICT PROCEDURES ON BECOMING A VOLUNTEER:

Engaging in volunteer activities with Citrus Hills Intermediate School Music Program provides a crucial partnership with our teachers in enhancing educational experiences, organizing events, and chaperoning our students off campus. Your participation helps create a welcoming environment where students can thrive and succeed safely. We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and offer various ways to contribute based on your interests and availability.

Step 1:

Fill out this CHIS Music Program Volunteer form.

Step 2:

Complete the CNUSD Volunteer Application Form.

Step 3:

Obtain Live Scan Document from CHIS school site in order to get your fingerprinting done. Fingerprinting is available through any approved Live Scan location, the cost is the responsibility of the applicant. You can find Live Scan locations online. If you have submitted your approved fingerprints Live Scan to CNUSD in previous years, you can by pass this step. 

Step 4:

Proof of a negative TB results, Chest X-Ray, or Risk Assessment is required (must be current within 60 days of submitting a volunteer application) and valid for 4 years from the date read.

Step 5:

Complete the Mandated Reporting training online and print out your certificate. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate to the school with your district volunteer application. You may access the mandated training through the link provided below.

  • Once you access the site you will need to create an account in order to log in.
  • After you log in, locate the Training Catalog button on the left hand side bar. Filter by State of "California", Type "Child Abuse", Industry "Education", Profession "Volunteer", and Language "English" (or the language of your choice). Click "Apply" for your filter options to take. 
  • Tiles of available trainings will display on your screen. Please make sure to select the training titled (SB848) Child Abuse Prevention Training for School Personnel.
  • The online course will take approximately 35 minutes and the certification is free. Make sure to print your certificate.
